The Service Provision Committee meets every two months, to oversee, for example, transport matters including the Holme Valley minibus services and matters relating to youth facilities and projects. With the assistance of its maintenance contractor (appointed annually), it maintains hundreds of public seats, half a dozen stone bus shelters and a number of war memorials in the Valley, together with a closed churchyard in New Mill and six adopted red phone boxes (some of which are now used as information/book exchange points). This Committee also administers the Christmas tree and Christmas lights provisions.
The Service Provision Committee also award grants.
